Do i need to use supreme gas on my 2006 bmw 530xi?

I heard using regular and supreme gas is practically the same thing. Could i use regular gas for my 2006 bmw 530xi?Do i need to use supreme gas on my 2006 bmw 530xi?yes! The 2006 BMW 530xi requires premium 91 octane fuel. U could use cheaper fuel but your engine might knock so just use the Premium.Do i need to use supreme gas on my 2006 bmw 530xi?
Please consult your owners manual 91 roz octaine means premium fuel is required. If you think you can ping ping detonate the pistons away that is up to you. The cost of 40 cents more a gallon will be made up with better engine life and more gas mileage. Ping sends a signal to the knock sensor to the engine control to take away ingnition timing and that kills gas milage.Do i need to use supreme gas on my 2006 bmw 530xi?You can use regular gas yes.

The recommended octane is what the manufactor suggest t make the most power and torque. So the 3.0L will make 255hp on supreme.

You can use regular octane, but the car's ECU will back off the spark timing to prevent knocking, and therefore making less power and torque.

All pump gas can be used in all cars, but will give different results power and fuel economy wise.Do i need to use supreme gas on my 2006 bmw 530xi?
Try the lower priced gas, and if you don't get spark knock ,it will not hurt your car to use it. Some cars just need the higher octaine.Do i need to use supreme gas on my 2006 bmw 530xi?It all depends on your car's compression ratio.Do i need to use supreme gas on my 2006 bmw 530xi?
if you can afford a BMW why are you worrying about spending the extra 20 cents per gallon? run the premium, it's better for you engine.

Is it normal for BMW E46 M43TUB19 to have a small 'thud' sound everytime the reverse gear is engage?

Is it true that ATF in a BMW has Lifetime Warranty and need not be replace? Is it normal for BMW E46 M43TUB19 to have a small 'thud' sound everytime the reverse gear is engage? If it is a small noise, it is likely normal. I expect a small nudge and accompanying sound each time I shift an automatic transmission from Park to Drive or Reverse. If it feels or sounds particularly harsh, however, I would have a trustworthy mechanic feel / hear this and take their recommendation.

Regarding the "Lifetime Warranty" on the transmission fluid, my understanding is that it does not mean that the fluid does not need to be changed indefinitely. Instead, BMW is implying that you shouldn't need to change the fluid within a reasonably long period of time, vis-a-vis the "lifetime" of a normal ownership of a car. Once again, I would recommend obtaining the advice of an experienced (and trustworthy) BMW mechanic. Is it normal for BMW E46 M43TUB19 to have a small 'thud' sound everytime the reverse gear is engage?it depends is it when you first shift or while you are moving backwards? If it is when you are moving backwards is it regular (like if you keep it a a steady RPM does it happen at regular intervals) or irregular. if it is when you first shift that is normal (that is changing gears) otherwise if it is at regular intervals i would check the clutch and tranny.

1-yr old Used BMW purchased in US. Will existing manufacturer warranty be applied in Canada?

Hi,

If I buy a used BMW in the states that still has the manufacturer warranty:

1. Can I exercise the warranty in Canada?

2. or do I have to go back to the states for warranty fixes?

3. or do I have to go back to that exact dealership?1-yr old Used BMW purchased in US. Will existing manufacturer warranty be applied in Canada?Tony,

B4 buying the car,u please visit your BMW dealer in canada and ask for their opionion of u buying from the car from the States.

.Basically BMW covers worldwide if the car is under warranty.

Therefore u visit your dealers and once they agree,u can buy the car.At the same time u must inform the dealers in the buying state to mention in their service report online, that this car been sold to canadian and all future services and warranty be provided and exercised in canada.

Please get your car,s service records updated on the service book and stamped by the selling state dealer.

This wll definately save you from future complications.

Wishing you the best.1-yr old Used BMW purchased in US. Will existing manufacturer warranty be applied in Canada?1. Pretty sure yes

2. Doubtful. Canada is under the BMW North America umbrella which of course includes the US.

3. Defiantly not. You can take it to any dealership for service. Warranty work is not paid for by the dealer itself. BMW NA pays for it.

If you are buying a used car from the BMW dealer, make sure it comes with CPO. Its like an extension on your warranty.

I hear in Canada they even cover subframe damage outside of warranty.1-yr old Used BMW purchased in US. Will existing manufacturer warranty be applied in Canada?I honestly dont know. I would contact bmw and get their answer straight from them before making such a big , expensive decision. not something you want to mess around with you know?
