Where do you get your Inspection I and II done for your BMW?

I have a 2000 BMW with 95000 miles on it. Do BMW owners stay true to the inspection I and II requirements no matter how old the car is? Where do you go and what is the cost for either inspection? I have 11,000 miles left before it's time for one of them, just wanted to get a better idea for the future.Where do you get your Inspection I and II done for your BMW?I have a 2000 528i with 142,000 miles. I stopped taking it to the BMW Dealership for inspection many years ago.

It's difficult, but I found a local mechanic that is familiar with these cars.

You're soon due for the 100,000 mile service. I'm not sure how "attached" you are to your car. Don't get me wrong, if I had a newer model I would be more meticulous however I'm not willing to pour a lot of money into a car with 142,000 miles when it is running fine.

Keep the oil changed and the engine tuned and you will be fine. Find a good local mechanic to do the work.Where do you get your Inspection I and II done for your BMW?Yes, I take excellent care of my BMW even though it's older... about very ten thousand miles or so I have it serviced %26amp; also have a full engine inspection done ... I take it to independent *certified* BMW guys who really know their stuff ... they're around BMW's so much %26amp; all different models.

I fully believe in doing Full engine inspections, that way, if there is a problem, you've caught it before more problems start creating themselves.

Don't let almost a 100,000 miles scare you .... with proper care %26amp; maintenance BMW's last, well into 300,000 +

I recommend going to this website above %26amp; typing in "BMW Mechanic" %26amp; your Location ... it should help you find some people to help you!Where do you get your Inspection I and II done for your BMW?The tech is right. Only go when its free, ie. warranty period otherwise who would pay 300 dollars for a brake job. I do all the work on the cars myself, I usually don't stick to the maintainence schedule because I would then be changing oil every other month. But I replace everything when they need it and always use OEM parts etc.

If you live in a decent sized city there will be a independant service place. They have all the technology/computers as the dealers, there really isn't any way around it for proper diagnostics. They also have the old guys who have been working on cars longer than a lot of us has been alive.

My suggestion, check out the BMW Car Club of America, one of the local chapters can point you in the right direction. You can even join, its 40 dollars a year and theres a lot of discounts both related and non related to BMWs.Where do you get your Inspection I and II done for your BMW?
I am a BMW technician and to be honest most of our customers only stay with us during the warranty duration and then seek local garages at a fraction of the cost however the most important aspect is that you do maintain and service your beemer when required. Our rate are in-term service 1st inspection approx £ 199 this is about an hours worth of work and the second major inspection is approx

£350 and can take as long as 3 hours
