How do I fix the decaying leatherette in my BMW?

I have a 2001 BMW 325i, and the leatherette surface on the driver's side seat is getting a bit worn down and fraying in one spot. theres a conditioner you can put on it, even though its for leather i'm sure it will work on leatherette..its called "Leather Lotion"

i've used it on my car, it works great. its about 30 dollars for a good size bottle, you only have to use a little bit.
