I have a 2003 BMW 325i and the brake pads light recently went on so i took it to a mechanic to have that taken care of. I got the front 2 pads replaced and new sensors. The brake pad light won't go off though. Any ideas? How can I make my brake pad sensor light go out for my '03 BMW?Have him check the rear brakes as well. I'm not sure about the 2003 3 series, but the last generation 5 series had two sensors for brake wear - one on front and one on back. The back brakes could be worn down to the sensor, or the sensor could be damaged.
Good luck!

what you have to do is turn the key on but eng off leave like this for about 30 seconds and light should go out!How can I make my brake pad sensor light go out for my '03 BMW?If he indeed replaced the brake pad sensors. All you have to do is turn the key on to where the needles on your instrument cluster move(watch the gas gauge) without actually turning the engine on. leave it in this position for about 30 seconds. The light should go out.How can I make my brake pad sensor light go out for my '03 BMW?
Sounds like the mechanic forgot to reset the trouble code in the braking system computer. Take it back and have him do that. If it's anything like some of the ABS modules-all that's required is to wave a magnet over a certain part of the module that contains a reed switch. Others require an electronic reset with a scan tool. How can I make my brake pad sensor light go out for my '03 BMW?Take the bulb outHow can I make my brake pad sensor light go out for my '03 BMW?
