As stated above. How many pounds of freon is needed to fill 1997 BMW 328i?according to alldata that car takes 825 g +or - 25.How many pounds of freon is needed to fill 1997 BMW 328i?Where is the car now? Where is it registered? The U.S. outlawed the sale of FREON 12 maybe 15 years ago. Are you sure that your A/C is not using R134 refrigerant? The fittings are different between FREON and R134. Any time a car has been in an accident, the system is supposed to be converted to R134. You will need a set of pressure gauges and a vacuum suction pump to evacuate your system of all refrigerant, air and moisture before adding the new or different refrigerant. Do not overcharge.
