I own a 1987 BMW 325 and my battery is in the trunk. recently, someone hit the rear end of car and i had to buy a new battery for it. Problem is, there is something about a vent on the battery? There should be a hose (usually clear and not much bigger than a straw) that runs from this vent and goes down through a hole to the outside of the trunk.
If the new battery did not come with one, just pull the old one off of the old battery and put it on the new one.
