I travel frequently to Sydney and also seen them in Europe where gas is so expensive, I don't understand why BMW hasn't introduced the BMW 116i and BMW 118i to America. Can someone explain why and try to change their minds to sell them here. Why isn't bmw not introducing the popular BMW 116i or BMW 118i to the United States? They have the 1-series on sale and it isnt doign as well as they thought.
They probably will introduce at least a 123d here, the diesels are supposed to be here this year or next.
US laws make good ideas impossible. Why isn't bmw not introducing the popular BMW 116i or BMW 118i to the United States?I'd guess BMW USA doesn't want to be associated with anything that might look like an economy car: the 1-series models they sell here are all six-cylinder cars and command high (if less than 3-series) prices.
I think they could sell the 123d diesel version, but so far, they haven't seen fit to do so: maybe they're waiting to see how well the 335d does. Why isn't bmw not introducing the popular BMW 116i or BMW 118i to the United States?Because big fat American butts won't fit in the seats. Why isn't bmw not introducing the popular BMW 116i or BMW 118i to the United States?
Why don't you try changing the minds of BMW people yourself?
Don't you know how self-assured this people are (specially the Germans) and how they think that they are the only intelligent people in the whole world?
They will do whatever they want for their own reasons and others can go to h___.
But quite frankly, I think it is basically a matter of marketing choice. Even Toyota does not sell everything they have in the US or in any other place, not even in their home country Japan.
Perhaps they will do so in their own sweet time...but maybe not currently with the constricted US economy.
