I am looking at buying a 1997 Volkswagen Jetta, with 200,000 miles on it already. I'm just curious as to how many miles they normally run to.How many miles does a 97' VW Jetta normally run until?Until the engine gets sick of running. Could be at 100,000 miles, could be at 1,000,000 miles. It all depends on how well you take care of your car and if you keep up with regular maintenance.
Personally I think you'd have to be crazy to buy *ANY* car with that many miles on it. Who knows how the previous owners treated it, and if it was poorly, it could fail at any moment. The more miles a car has, the more likely a shitty-*** person beat up the engine.
