Where is the air intake for fan / Air con in VW POLO ?

Could you tell me where the fan / air con air-intake is as there is a damp and dirty smell coming through when fan is on.

Thank you.Where is the air intake for fan / Air con in VW POLO ?The fan blows over the evaporator core(a/c) or the heater core depending on the door under the passenger glove box. a leaking heater core could cause the smell(check for wet carpet on passenger side) or if the drain on the evaporator core is blocked it could also cause this. the drain hose that lets condensation drain out from the evaporator core usually is routed out of the firewall down low on passenger side of the engine compartment. you can usually see condensation dripping out of the hose while the a/c is on.... you can sometimes run a coat hanger or a piece of wire up the drain tube and unstop it...Where is the air intake for fan / Air con in VW POLO ?are you sure it is not air cooled and the heater core ain't leaking on floor and that is what your smellingWhere is the air intake for fan / Air con in VW POLO ?Sounds like the cabin air filter needs changing.
