Window Regulator for VW Cabrio needed, should be simple right?

I saw an ad for a window regulator on ebay. The ad states its for a VW Cabrio, Golf or Jetta, 1995-2002. I take that to mean it is the exact same part for all of these cars. Is that true? What I need is a front left window regulator for a 1997 Wolfsburg model High line Cabrio. I am having a time finding one in budget. The seller may have regulators for all those models but the Cabrio takes 1E0-837-461 the regular Golf and Jetta takes a 1E0-837-461A. The Cabrio regulator is much more expensive and is only available in Original VW sells for $340.00 at the dealer. Ouch! Sorry!
