Thank you all!How to transfer ipod music into bmw x5?My M3 has a separate USB connection in the glove compartment other than the one in the console used for playing only. This is the one you need to use to transfer music. But you can't do it from the iPod. You will have to store the songs on a separate USB device, like a flash drive, and plug that in. Once you find it in the iDrive, the system will then transfer all the files into a folder on the hard drive in the car. They can be WMA, MP3, or AAC. However, it will not play back protected files, like M4P you buy off iTunes, only store them. But it will play back M4A files. You can also copy entire CD/DVDs even if it is full of songs in the above formats. How to transfer ipod music into bmw x5?You can't transfer the music to the car. You have to have the ipod connected to play the songs. What the manual is saying is that the car will recognize up to 16,000 songs on the ipod.
