Is it a good idea to fix a scratch with touch up paint for a BMW?

is it a good idea to use touch up paint for a black bmw 323i sedan? I have a small white scrape along the car, and I don't really wanna take to the shop, and spend any money on something I can fix. Is it a good idea?Is it a good idea to fix a scratch with touch up paint for a BMW?The white scrape is where the clear coating is damaged. It can sometimes be water sanded then polished to new condition.Using touchup paint carefully with the proper brush can make it look better if a person isn't too critical and won't hurt anything should you decide to have it done professionally in the future. Is it a good idea to fix a scratch with touch up paint for a BMW?Depending on how deep the scratch is, you can first try some Dupont "polishing" compound (not rubbing compound). It is a white paste. You take a soft damp cloth dab a little polish and rub it over the area around the scratch. You will probably notice a swishing sound as you start to polish, but as you smooth the surface, it will get quiet. after you are done, you will need to apply wax.

That one spot will shine so nice, you will probably want to do the whole car.

If that doesn't do it, you may try the touchup, but it won't look good.Is it a good idea to fix a scratch with touch up paint for a BMW?better to do that than allow rust to start
