I have seen a 2005 BMW 525D new shape with black leather seats going for £9000. It has 108000 miles but is in perfect condition and appears stunning. Is this a good deal? What do you think? Is £9000 worth it for a high mileage BMW 5 Series new shape? The crucial question is service history. A car of this calibre should have been regularly serviced throughout its life. If the documentation proves this you have little to worry about as it will do double this mileage with ease. If the docs aren't there I would walk away. Simple as that.Is £9000 worth it for a high mileage BMW 5 Series new shape?
Difficult to say without seeing the car. Diesels are normally good even with a high mileage and BMW diesels are especially good. In fact they're virtually indestructible and have good consumption.
Without taking it for a check up at a garage before buying it there's very little else you can do.
I'd say it's a good deal unless there's something they haven't told you about. I would see if you can get a signed contract saying the car is accident free. Also check that there is still plenty of tread on the tyres because new ones won't be cheap. Is £9000 worth it for a high mileage BMW 5 Series new shape?108k ? Just nicely run in then. This engine, properly serviced will see 300k without too much trouble. The 525D is over shadowed by the 530D and BMW actually dropped it but were deluged with complaints from owners who wanted another and they promptly re-instated it. But, as another contributor says, check the service history. Remember, depending upon the options fitted this car could have cost the best part of 35 grand.
Sounds cheap enough: In good condition with average miles, it's worth £12,000, so a £3K saving is a decent amount. I'd still try more though.
If it has a service history, dealer or independent, I'd buy it.
My brother has a 2001 530d with 275,000 miles - looks %26amp; drives like new, never misses a beat. No way, someone might pay that but look at what else you could get for your money.

I don't think such worth.
Too much expensive 108000 miles.
Of course it is, getting a Bmw is the best car we ever had.
