The person is selling the car to me for $400.00, it's a 1998 bmw. Im not sure on what model it is, but this person said that the transmission is bad and needs repair. I was informed that it would cost me $900.00 for a transmission, which now that I did some research, sounds false. What are some opinions?I am planning on buying a 1998 bmw that needs a new transmission. How much would the transmission cost?I agree. $900 does not sound right for BMW transmission unless it is an old transmission.
Do not buy BMW if you are not willing to pay $100 oil change.
