I want to buy a BMW 550i but i am worried about how much im gonna spend on gas.wat should i do?

I want a car that has about equal luxury but i don't want to spend alot on gas considering that the BMW 550i has a v8 engine. As u are worried of the gas usage today,what about end of the year when fuel goes 40 per cent more.



Dont worry yourself and buy a luxury car to show off to others.

If you are looking at used 5 series, look at some 530 models

Yes there are other options for the Five series motors both are in-line sixes. You can check performance specs at bmwusa.com All of the options remain the same so all you would be giving up is some fuel consumption.

525 should be ur choice it's almost 250 Hp %26amp; the Mpg is much better than the 550.
I'm going to assume you're talking about the recent E60 models. The 550i's v8 powerplant gets an estimated 15/23 (city/highway) MPG. If you want better efficiency drop down to a 530xi or a 525xi (the 'x' means all wheel drive in BMWs). The inline 6 cylinder in these two will get 19/27. However if you go for the standard rear-wheel drive 530i or 525i with the same powerplant you'll get 20/30.



There are a few other companies/models that will give you slightly better MPG but Lexus, Acura, Infiniti can't compare to a BMW in any other category.
