The impact of deprecation value will be more drastic to newer 2009-2011 BMW 3 series models. Remember most new cars depreciate 25% to 40% in the first 2 years alone. The 2006-2008 BMW 3 series have already decreased in value due to their age but they begin to halt the deprecation process much slower then newer 2009-2011 BMW 3 series models. Cars depreciate faster when they are newer opposed to when they are older. Like any other car the 2006 BMW 3 series will continue to depreciate but not as fast as it was in the beginning of its life span. The New generation 3 series should not have to much of an effect towards the 2006 BMW 3 series, it will depreciate at a slower pace according to KBB (Kelly Blue Book). Lets not forget that BMW and Infiniti vehicles retain there residual value stronger then any other Luxury manufacturer in the United States according to "ALG" value awards.
