How do I start (basically put key in) a BMW X5 and start it?

I'm trying to start it but have never drove the BMW before, the key won't budge when I put it in the ignition.

if Jiggling the steering wheel when the key is in doesnt work then if its a Standard push in the cluch lol. does it for my 2000 M3
