How to fix the auto lock on a 2000 BMW 328i?

I have a BMW 328i, year 2000. Recently the auto-lock function just stopped working (this is the function that locks the car above 15mph and allows the electronic key to work). I checked the fuses but everything is fine. Is there some reset that I could try, or a small part that I could fix? Please help, any suggestions are great.
