88 Celica GT Liftback vs 89 BMW 325i Which is a better drive in terms of performance and mileage?
I have a choice between these 2 cars as my 1st car. Which is more recommended to drive. I'd like to know about repair costs too. Isn't the bmw more expensive to repair?88 Celica GT Liftback vs 89 BMW 325i Which is a better drive in terms of performance and mileage?I love driving the 325 (I've owned two). The Toyota will definately get better gas mileage (4 cylinder vs 6 cyliner).A car this old depends on how it's been taken of %26amp; what needs to be fixed now.I currently own a '94 Camry (250,000 miles),'91 Explorer (233,000 miles),'92 BMW 525 wagon(200,000 miles),'97 Chrysler Sebring (180,000 miles). Most of my "beater" fleet can be driven cross country, but when you're dealing with cars this old...ANYTHING can happen! You really want to take both cars to the same (trusted) mechanic to evaluate each one.Like I said,it reallly depends on the particular car especially when dealing with something this old.BTW the Toyota IS cheaper to fix.
