Can you put a porsche motor in a VW Beetle?

I have a Old school VW beetle it is a project car for my missus, anyways if im going to drive this i want it to have a bit of balls so is there any VW enthusiasts here that could let me know? and maybe some place i can get some extra info.Can you put a porsche motor in a VW Beetle?Not needed, don't waste money, look here.

If you're set on doing an engine swap, I say drop a Mazda rotary engine in it, reinforce the tranny, and HANG ON.

you can take a porsche carrera gt motor in there but it won't fit unless u have room for the engine . if u put it , it will have 600 + horses.
