How can I unlock the doors of a BMW?

I need to get in my 98 BMW...I have the key but my driver side door handle is broke so I can't get in thru there. When I press the remote it doesn't unlock the doors. I believe the fuse is blown. Are there any other ways to get in the car?? I've tried calling bmw road side assistance and they want over 100 bucks to come out. My regular roadside assistance couldn't find a company who can come out.How can I unlock the doors of a BMW?Well your not going to believe me but.. Take out a license plate light and hook power to it from a battery or another car. Then put the key in and turn. One issue is if you have a short in that circuit it may not work. Cause more damage. Well I suspect the vehicle battery is dead. Just open the trunk with the key by turning it counter clockwise (i think) tell it stops then keep turning past the stop. There should be some spring tension then it will go and the trunk will open. The battery for your car is in the trunk behind the fold down panel on the right side. hook some jumper cables to the battery form another car and see if the remote or driver door lock cylinder will unlock the car. If that isn't working let the battery charge for a bit then try the key in the lock cylinder on the trunk lid.

You could also try replacing the remote battery. Most times it's the remote battery, not a fuse.
