I'm interested in a 2002 BMW 745i the listed price is 16,995 and the miles are at 88,000. My question is how many miles can I get out of this vehicle . Since I currently own a 2003 745i w/ 86,000 miles, I can tell you that the car will last at least 200,000 provided good maintenance is made. My car feels better today than it did when I first got it. That said, not everyone takes care of their 7-series. Many are leased and those people do not put money into a car that isn't "their own". Does the car you are looking at have service records? If not, run. If yes, see what has been done. Look for iDrive/car computer updates as they were needed back in 2006 to correct idling issues. Look for the coolant expansion tank to be replaced. The tank and associated hoses are plastic (to save weight) and usually break at least once.
