Hi I need to know if a manual transmission from a 1983 bmw 320 would work for a 1983 bmw 528? im currently restoring a 1983 bmw 528 and would like to convert it from a auto trans to a manual transmission. The bolt pattern is different and the bell housing is part of the transmission case. Some Getrag boxes are all one piece and the bolt pattern is different between the 2 engines.
But then you still need to source the correct bellhousing, flywheel, tailshaft and pedal box.
You'd be better off finding a 528 for parts.
