Is there were any significant ways to reduce the weight of my BMW?

I have a 1993 BMW 318IS, and it is a pretty heavy car, around 3300LB stock, and i was curious to find out if there were any significant ways to reduce the weight of it besides the obvious taking the back seats out and getting lighter weight front seats, and taking out the climate control units.

Hoping to get it down to around 2500LB if at all possible. Is there were any significant ways to reduce the weight of my BMW?Now that the aura of a Fine German Luxury Automobile smogged over, you might wana try a basic Honda Civic creampuff, 2-3 yrs old, lo mi, eligible for Honda Factory bumper to bumper warranty. Is there were any significant ways to reduce the weight of my BMW?remove spare, backseats, and its a pain but your AC. then the easy stuff is carbon fiber and glass but they are expensive. and if you want to really strip it down put in a roll cage,i know it adds weight but this will let you remove large chunks of the body. im guessing you wont want to do this but really the best way to get this done is to gut the whole car and fabricate a new lighter frame but at that point you will be reaching race car status...Is there were any significant ways to reduce the weight of my BMW?Yes, but it won't be cheap.

Fiberglass or carbon fiber hood, trunk and fenders. Aluminum heads, intake, brake calipers, ect.

Remove the spare tire. Remove the AC,power windows ect. Also look at lighter weight wheels. Is there were any significant ways to reduce the weight of my BMW?
