What car to get, BMW 1 series hatchback or Astra VXR?

Im still in two minds as to what one to purchase for my birthday.



I like both obviously, but have so much diffucilties in making my mind up in which one to choose.



I just feel the Astra looks better but the BMW demands more respect lol.



Help please guys, as usual i will give points to the best answer.

The VXR is good kit and people know that they're a bit mental. There's no better Astra model than the VXR but you'd always feel like a muppet pulling up next to an M3 in a 1 series.



VXR is better looking, faster, more powerful, more fun to drive and you won't see 20 on every street in the UK. The BM is nicer interior and rear wheel drive but I didn't think much of it to drive and they are everywhere.

In the BMW you will look like a clone. In the Vx you will look like a person who is fighting torque steer a lot.

These really arn't direct rivals but VXR will be better specced, quicker , faster and more practical

BMW =better built, better ride/handling, more refined and cheaper to insure

VXR will be far more exclusive but you will have to put up with hassle from chav boy racers , white van man and reps in company VectrasWhat car to get, BMW 1 series hatchback or Astra VXR?
There are two questions:

1. Are you a wanker?

2. Do you want to look like a wanker?

If the answers to either of these is yes, then buy the BMW.

The problem isn't that BMW's are badly engineered, but that everyone who drives them is a complete and utter pratt.



Vauxhall on the other hand is the people's champion. They've been in the BTCC for 15 years and won many championships. The letters VXR imply someone who actually understands cars and/or has a real passion for them.



Go on, buy the BMW, I dare you. You'll look like a wanker.
