What is the average yearly maintenance cost for a Lexus or BMW?

Any Lexus or BMW owners who can tell me how much they spend per year on maintenance costs? I can't decide which brand to buy out of the 2. This is a huge factor.

Also I plan to buy certified pre owned if it makes a difference...What is the average yearly maintenance cost for a Lexus or BMW?For BMW if you don't abuse it, it won't cost much. Just oil changes(about $35 if you do it yourself or $200-300 at dealer) and other random small maintenance jobs. ex.air filter, transmission fluid(if automatic), tires, struts, etc.

bottom line is that if you maintain it regularly and (by this i mean not taking it to the dealer b/c it WILL get expensive) and not abusing it, it won't be too expensive. BMW engines last 400.000 miles if properly maintained

lexus' are also reliable as they are manufactured by toyota.

again it just depends on how you drive and whether you take your car to the dealer or a local mechanic or if your a diy type of person. What is the average yearly maintenance cost for a Lexus or BMW?If you buy a certified bmw, chances are you'll have at least a year of free maintenance remaining.

If the maintenance is the deciding factor, go for the lexus. The BMW will end up costing more to maintain, but that's what you get with an incredible handling German whip. If you want a cheap, generic jap ride, go for the toyota (whoops,,,lexus).

Using a thing like maintenance as a deciding factor between these two cars is absurd. Instead of the toyota, get a honda, they are really cheap to maintain.
