I normally work on American cars, but my GF has a BMW. And it seems there are two radiator hoses going to the engine. Is the thermostat in that housing? Any help would be great. thanks.Where is the thermostat located on a 1995 BMW 318i?The thermostat is enclosed in a housing that is above the water pump/cooling fan pulley.
The thermostat housing is connected to the right radiator hose which connects to the lower part of the radiator.
To bleed after repairs, remove screw from the top of the expansion tank,
fill to the top of the neck, installl screw, ask somebody to run engine and rev to approximately 2000 while you look inside the expansion tank and when the stream of coolant becomes full and steady top-off
to the top of the neck and close cap. After first day's use top-off coolant again the following morning if needed. Do not overfill when checking the following morning. Refer to dipstick/indicator.Where is the thermostat located on a 1995 BMW 318i?two hoses on every radiator ive ever seen one top one bottom follow top hos eto motor remove hose remove housing wil find thermo
