I am thinking about buying a used 2006 BMW X5 that has 52000 miles. This would be my first BMW... I would appreciate any type of feedback/experience especially related to the X5 model.How is the reliability on the X5 BMW?The x5 is a great car, but I have an x3 with about 55000 miles and the maintenance is what can be so expensive and oil change can be 150 bucks. I did bought mine from an official BMW dealer. I could have paid less if i bought it from any regular dealer, but with these cars you don't want to take any risks. The maintenance can be costly. also make sure the tyres are in a good condition. a set of new tires will cost you around 拢1000.
the pro's of this car: spacious, perfect for long distances. cons: consumption, maintenance, performance (quick enough, but not exciting)
