Is it normal that the speed of BMW 550i will reduce quickly if releasing the gas panel?

I just bought a used BMW 550i. When on the road, its speed will reduce quickly if I release my foot from the gas panel, even I don't step on break at all. Is it the way BMW designed for?

2 if its manual in gear yes it will slow as the motor goes to low rpm...

3 push in clutch see if it coasts or if brakes are sticking
