The only reason BMW puts the battery in the trunk is for safety. In case you are giving someone a boost, the battery could explode. Therefore BMW put it in the trunk; however you could still get a jump from the positive and negative terminals in the front. There should be a red plastic cap covering the positive terminal and there should be an over-sized nut near or around the postive terminal. Simply pull the cap and connect the terminals accordingly. Hope this helps. How do you jump start a 2006 bmw 3 series with the battery in the trunk? Most automobiles that have remote mounted batteries like yous will have a jump start terminal under the hood. Look for a Red plastic cover with a "+" on it under the hood. Remove the cover, and connect that to the positive side jumper cable. The negative side goes to any unpainted metal under the hood.
You will also find a positive terminal in the engine compartment. It will be covers in red led and has a positive sign on it. That will me the part that you will use to give it positive charge. For the negative charge, place the negative wire on any bolt that goes to the frame of the car.How do you jump start a 2006 bmw 3 series with the battery in the trunk?even with the battery in the trunk. under the hood passenger side is jump starting terminalsHow do you jump start a 2006 bmw 3 series with the battery in the trunk?
